Joining the Viper team in August 2020, Bud brought decades of infrared temperature measurement experience. He is knowledgeable in nearly all aspects of infrared temperature measurement for the vast majority of industrial and scientific applications. Q: Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What did you want to be when you grew up?
Bud: Guitar player for the Rolling Stones, OR an aeronautical engineer
Q: Tell us about your hometown.
Bud: Paramus, NJ. It has 4 major highways running through it that have made retail business thrive. It’s interesting to note that a Sunday “blue law” is still in effect. While maybe not ideal for retail businesses, residents do enjoy less traffic that day.
Q: What motivates you?
Bud: Solving technical problems and helping people
Q: What do you think are the best skills you bring to your job?
Bud: Infrared temperature measurement application experience, working with people, and my work ethic
Q: Why do you love working for Viper Imaging?
Bud: Because of the people in the company and the opportunity to learn more about infrared temperature measurement solutions. And I appreciate the challenge to help grow an already successful business.
Q: When you’re not working, what are you happiest doing?
Bud: I’ll tell you when that time comes…
Q: If we went to happy hour, what would you order?
Bud: Red wine or a nice Highlands tequila

Q: Describe your perfect vacation.
Bud: Skiing in the Rockies or on the beach with my wife. But, spending time in Germany, Italy or Spain would not be bad runner-ups.
In addition to his position as Regional Sales Manager for the Eastern US for Viper, Bud is also Manager of the Americas for Heitronics. He is a member of the Society for Plastics Engineers and the ASTM E20.02 subcommittee for Radiation Thermometry.* Bud earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and resides with his wife Barbara in Ewing, NJ.
*Standards and guidance involving calibration are what is mostly being addressed at this time. The subcommittee is always happy to have new members join and contribute.
