The FLIR GF77 is an uncooled optical gas imaging camera with interchangeable lens options for the detection of methane, sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), ethylene, ammonia, and other gas emissions. Capable of both gas detection and radiometric temperature measurement for thermal inspections, the GF77 is ideal for multiple applications. This affordable solution offers built-in thermographic calibrations and the flexibility to detect a wide range of gases by simply changing lenses.

Equipped with special filters, FLIR OGI cameras can “see” methane, hydrocarbon, and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Some application examples for this versatile system:

  • Electric power utilities
  • Oil and natural gas operations
  • Chemical and manufacturing facilities
  • Food and beverage production
  • Agriculture industry
  • First responders

How it works:

The camera detects a gas plume as a shadow that stands out against the thermal radiation from its surroundings. OGI provides visual confirmation of leaks as small as 0.8 g/hour.

Improve image clarity and gas detection with these advanced features from FLIR.

  • The GF77 is calibrated for temperature, so you can manually adjust contrast between the gas cloud and the background.
  • Increase contrast instantly with the 1-Touch Level/Span auto-adjust feature
  • Accentuate plume movement with High Sensitivity Mode (HSM).

The FLIR GF77 is far superior to traditional “sniffers” at visualizing gas leaks – allowing the operator to pinpoint the exact source of fugitive emissions. The High Sensitivity Mode (HSM) uses proprietary video processing techniques to accentuate plume movement which increases leak detectability.

Safely locate gas leaks and perform accurate thermal inspections with just one camera.

Enjoy the ergonomic design, laser-assisted autofocus, built-in tools to organize findings in the field (GPS, WiFi, and annotation), and rapid-reporting capabilities.

  • Natural gas well sites
  • Electrical substations
  • Power generators
  • Chemical processing plants
  • Manufacturing plants
