Thanks to William Thornton and al.com for including Viper in this article. Viper Imaging has been producing non-contact temperature detection devices for utilities and industrial clients. While our FLIR thermal imaging technology is not a medical-grade device, it is FDA-approved for use in fever detection. The automated scanners are used to provide an early indication of fever when evaluating individuals in a population.
