Find answers to your questions about industrial process monitoring systems and thermal imaging here! Learn how your company can benefit from our systems today!

What is thermal imaging?

Thermal imaging is a process where thermal cameras convert infrared radiation (IR), or heat, from objects into images. Here at Viper we use top-of-the-line thermal imaging devices to create seamless thermal monitoring systems that are designed to prevent disasters, reduce costs associated with catastrophes, and allow industrial complexes to continue operating at optimal performance levels.

Do thermal imaging / IR cameras record?

Our thermal imagers and monitoring systems do record. Videos can record either radiometrically, which means all of the temperature data is able to be revisited to do a post-process analysis on, or as a traditional MP4, which will just serve as a regular video with no temperature data attached to it.

What industries and applications use thermal imaging?

As a top supplier and integrator of thermal imaging-based systems and industrial process monitoring equipment, we have a track record of success using thermal imaging in various industrial settings, such as metals, energy production and distribution, oil and gas, wood products, and industrial automation.

What is included in the Viper on-site start-up/commissioning?

Our on-site start up/ commissioning involves our team coming in and:

  • inspecting all of the data connections on site
  • making sure everything is sealed appropriately and working properly
  • working with the customer to define regions of interest, set thresholds, and customize the software layout to fit their needs
  • setting up communications into the customers control systems
  • training any operators of the software to ensure they feel comfortable using our software

We do NOT mount cameras or perform any mechanical or electrical installation. We require all of the conduit, cabling, and airline equipment to be run prior to us arriving on site.

Can I test your systems at my facility?

Yes! We understand the importance of being confident in a solution before your company makes a larger investment. We offer on-site demos, trial periods, and camera rentals to help with this!

Can you make custom builds for different applications?

Yes! We understand that not all applications are the same, so solutions can’t be one size fits all. Solutions like our Viper Predator System serve multiple industries, but our team can help you customize it based on your facility and application needs.

How can I arrange for someone to come on-site to conduct an inspection?

We offer on-site inspections through Viper Services. Inspections can be traditional infrared, thermal acoustic imaging, or gas detection. These inspections include a full PDF write-up of findings and reports.

Fill out this contact form and let us know you are interested in an inspection in the “message” box, or email us at contact@viperimaging.com!

What are the benefits of a thermal inspection?

Thermal inspections can help identify hidden issues such as electrical faults, insulation gaps, moisture intrusion, gas leaks, and more, allowing for timely maintenance and preventing potential damage or inefficiency.

Can I get a discount for bulk purchases?

Absolutely! Please contact our sales department (sales@viperimaging.com) for specific pricing and discount details based on the quantity you need.

What is the warranty period for your products?

All Viper Imaging systems include a one-year warranty. Different camera manufacturers (FLIR, Optris, Fotric, ect.) all have different additional warranties for their products. Our team will provide all the information regarding warranties upon the purchase of your system and camera solution

*Extended warranties are available upon request

How long does it take to get my order in once purchased?

Typically 4- 8 weeks depending on the availability of parts/cameras. Larger systems might take longer, while off the shelf products tend to arrive quicker.

Is your software a subscription or can it be purchased?

We offer both annual renewal subscriptions of our ViperVision software, as well as Perpetual licenses. Our software is licensed on a per camera basis.

What PLCs are compatible with your software?

Our ViperVision Software is compatible with Siemens via s7 communication, or Allen Bradley via CompactLogix, ControlLogix, GuardLogix, and Micro 800.
