Viper Imaging Introduces Luke Telford

June 2026: Viper Imaging is pleased to introduce Luke Telford as our new Field Application Engineer.

Role and Vision

In his new role, Luke will be a key technical expert and a vital link between our sales and execution teams. He will lead on-site startups at facilities such as power plants and steel mills, ensuring that hardware, software, and integrated solutions are aligned to deliver exceptional results for our customers.

Experience & Expertise

Luke is a quality and manufacturing professional with more than 20 years of experience in consumer products, electronics manufacturing, marine systems, and industrial production environments. He is an active member of ASQ (American Society for Quality) and a TR53-certified auditor.

Luke has proven expertise in Quality Engineering, Field Applications Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. His diverse background has helped him develop exceptional troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Luke’s dedication to customer service, combined with his technical proficiency and analytical approach to problem-solving, ensures our clients and their systems receive exceptional support and care.

Our success is built on helping customers solve difficult problems and achieve meaningful results. Luke will play an important role in supporting those efforts, and we’re excited to welcome him to the team.

Personal Background

Luke brings a disciplined background as a US Navy-trained Electronics Technician with expertise in radar systems. Also an ordained minister, he resides in the Atlanta metropolitan area with his wife; together they have four children and eight grandchildren. Outside his professional life, Luke is a competitive slow-pitch softball player who travels nationally, playing more than 200 games by the end of this year.

Q: Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What did you want to be when you grew up?

Luke: I wanted to be a baseball player.

Q: Tell us about your hometown.

Luke: I was born and raised in Streator, Illinois. Located roughly 90 miles south of Chicago, the town is in the heart of four cornfields.

Q: What motivates you in your work?

Luke: I enjoy learning how things work and focusing on problem-solving.

Q: What do you think are the best skills you bring to your job?

Luke: Customer service and technical expertise.

Q: What drew you to Viper Imaging?

Luke: I was intrigued by Viper’s technology, and I appreciate the opportunity to explore new fields that remain consistent with my personal and professional history.

Q: When you’re not working, what are you happiest doing?

Luke: Spending time with my wife, mostly at the softball field.

Luke: We love the beach! My wife and I enjoy the peace of soaking up the sun and listening to music by day, followed by great food and dancing the night away.
